LOVE★DON!!★QUIXOTE

LOVE★DON!!★QUIXOTE

About: A girl, a first year of high school, meeting with one of St. Donquixote's Student Council members and being forced to join, in order for the guy to have more time with her. There was supposed to be a ban against romantic relationship between the Council's members but obviously no one ever abides them, not even the President himself. The theme is kabedon (to be leaned against between a wall and a person).

Monami (CV: Kondo Takashi)
Monami is, I think, the person who will be the next Council's President after Roy graduated, but I'm not really sure. His personality is a bit on the Oresama type. He first met MC when she bought the last yakisoba bread from the school's cafe. Although he is quite the arrogant one, he has a soft spot for the MC.

Shizuku (CV: Nojima Kenji)
MC first noticed Shizuku as he started to talk to her while on her way to school by bus. He is, I suppose, a variant of Sadist? (not the extreme one though). He does the matadon (knee between the legs while leaned against behind a wall) to make the MC to respond to his proposition to date him. He even goes so far as lying to MC to come to a meeting a bit earlier that it was supposed to start, just to have that extra time alone with her.

Taichi (CV: Yonaga Tsubasa)
The most ijiwaru of all the guys here, he tricked the MC to join the Council by asking her to sign a form with the content hidden from her view. MC tried to get it back when she realized what it was but Taichi beat her to it. One day he tricked her into making the announcement over the broadcast system while making inappropriate touching to her person, making her voice funny. Taichi revealed that the broadcast button wasn't turned on anyway. MC was so shamed, she wanted to run away. I got a bit angry she forgave him way too fast. This dude is not operating on normal human boundaries.

Sousuke (CV: Kimura Ryohei)
Sousuke is a twin brother of Taichi, and he started with imitating as Taichi to talk with the MC. Compared to Taichi, he's more the reliable one. He helped her with the Council's work all the time, just so it will be done earlier so he could start be icha icha with her. Sousuke has a bit of a complex with Taichi and always assumed girls like his twin better than they do with him. He at first would ask MC many times if she would prefer Taichi more than himself, if placed in the same situation.

Reno (CV: Matsuoka Yoshitsugu)
A guy more known for his koala patterned jacket, MC met Reno in the library as he was sleeping. He likes candies and would share it with her. Reno was also the President of the Student Council before handing it over to Roy. I don't really know how the structure of school in Japan but he mentioned that he is an OB (short for Old Boy a.k.a alumni) but somehow currently still in school helping around? Anyway, Reno invited MC to join the council but turned out she took the job as a member very seriously and worked herself to no end. When that made her a lot more mistakes than necessary, she was feeling quite down. Reno took her to the closed-off roof section of the school to get a fresh air and a change of mood.

Roy (CV: Hirakawa Daisuke)
As the President of the current Student Council, you would have thought he'd be more of a stickler to the rule of No Dating, but you'd be wrong. Roy does the yukadon (against the floor instead of wall)... I think? The scene's not very clear, maybe he didn't. He's a reliable President and is close to handing over his position to the next candidate.

Final say: I have to admit, I started with a preference with this kabedon thing. But after a while of consuming the 'trend', it does began to get annoying. I really wished in some scenes that the MC would knee the dude in the crotch or headbutt his chin. But aside from that, this is an enjoyable series. I came to find more Kimura and Hirakawa, but I got interested with Nojima and Yonaga as well. I really don't know why the No Dating rule was ever implemented, if it ever mentioned at all in the series. A rule that no one abides to is just stupidity.
