[R18] Date Biyori

Date Biyori
でーとびより
[Anniversary Date]

About: Sweet stories about a day of a couple's date and their relationship.

Fujimaki Shin'ya (CV: Murano Sumito)
Both Shinya and the girlfriend are from the same university, and only very recently became a couple. Shinya is very sociable but somehow he just couldn't make a girl to like him as much as he wished. As they were having a date at the theme park, they rode in a ride with a theme of haunted pirate ship, thinking the girlfriend would not have any problem since the last time they watched a horror movie, she said she was fine with it. In actuality, she admitted that she was faking it just so to make a good impression. They both had a bit of a fight when Shin'ya grew jealous of the girlfriend's friends and would not want her to get close to them anymore. But he soon apologized saying she's his first girlfriend and would like to cherish her as much as he can. They later returned to his place and she happened to find his stash of porn. Hilariously cute.

Sakuma Chihiro (CV: Sawa Manaka)
Chihiro works as a bartender, and he first met his girlfriend at work. Although now a couple, he noticed that she always seems to be holding back to what she really wanted to say or do, even up to her personal feelings and opinions. She also never do the things he asked her to do like stay the night at his place instead of going straight home. This made him a bit frustrated at times. They went on a shopping date and he bought her a dress that he said she would look good in (she got a bit wet from the sudden downpour), and she said she liked the dress and agreed to wear it for him. Later at a hotel room he confronted her why she lied about the dress when in fact she didn't like it at all. He also pointed out that she always ordered the same cocktail as the one he had made for her before they dated, when in fact there is a meaning behind the Velvet Hammer. MC then told him that she knew what it means - "I'm also thinking of you tonight" - and Chihiro was surprised. He later made her promised to be more honest with her selfish needs and to rely on him more.

Konno Itsuki (CV: Tetrapot Noboru)
A former school athlete, he retired the same time he got into university. His girlfriend is older than him and is now working full time. Despite being together for some time, he never really one to held a conversation with other people, girlfriend included. They met one day as he was on his jog which then later getting together. On a date at the beach, MC confessed to have asked going there to release some of her tension at work (I think she works at a gym?) and said had always been holding up by herself. This is due to their age difference thus him not being able to understand her troubles. Itsuki was surprised to hear this and he felt bad for not realizing it sooner. He asked her to rely on him more the next time and let him know of her troubles so he can help anyhow he can.

Osada Ryuunosuke (CV: Teratake Jun)
Ryuunosuke and the girlfriend are colleagues from the same company. He is a gentle person who would always try hard to be someone the girlfriend can rely on. He'd go through lengths just to make sure the girlfriend had the best vacation that he spent weeks on researching on where to go and visit. He told her it was all recommendations from his friends. They spent the night together in a fancy hotel he booked just for the occasion.

Final say: For a theme so seemingly plain, I do have a hard time understanding the details of the plot like in Chihiro's and Itsuki's side. Chihiro's story especially. It was good build up of drama, and Sawa was playing a great job delivering the right amount of frustration in his lines. But then, almost very suddenly, the problem just... ~resolved~ itself, leaving me with no satisfaction at all (me being Ace, the sexing part is not what I look forward to, but rather the drama does it for me). Maybe I missed some lines due to my mediocre vocabulary? The best story is still Shin'ya's story. Murano really should do more comedy other than just Koibito vs. Nijigen and this one. He's hilarious!
