Yabai Shisho-san no Ai no Kokuhaku

ヤバい司書さんの愛の告白
Yabai Shishou-san no Ai no Kokuhaku

About: MC's encounter with the mysterious librarian.

Trivia: This is a special drama cd from DLsite, available for free (for a limited time, I think?). Please follow the link above to get them.

CV: Nakazawa Masatomo

One summer, MC went to a certain library to get some books to read. There, she met a quiet young man, a librarian, who then proceeds to help her finding the title that she was looking for. He even recommends her some other titles of the genre she prefers, to which she expressed her fondness of them.

As she came every weekend and each time was assisted by the same man, MC began to feel a strange attraction to him. They would share some quiet talks between the shelves often. One day she came to look for a book for baking, and said that she would bake some cookies for the man. He was glad to, but said he could only meet her at the library for reasons he did not elaborated. She also wished for him to talk more about himself, aside from just knowing his given name, Akihiko.

Come the weekend they were to meet, he met her by the entrance and lead her to a quiet corner of the library. He talked about his favorite book, which was a horror story. Akihiko then asked her to search on the internet for the author of the book and follow the news link. It lead to the news of the author, Bitou Akihiko, who were found dead by hanging at the same library they are in. It was the same Akihiko who are standing close to her.

Although still could not believe what she heard, Akihiko expressed his love for MC. He had always waited there at the library for no apparent reason, until the moment he met her. He wished that the two of them would stay together. The story ends with an open ending of MC's fate.

Final say: I may be getting some details wrong, since I am very weak to very specific terms of certain subjects, in this case, publishing/writing. I think the reason Akihiko hanged himself was because of the stress of his editor chasing the dateline?? I'm not sure. Anyway, I was bracing myself for something a lot more messed up, but this is quite tame. Would have preferred it a lot longer, but it was free, so four short tracks of a little over 30minutes is adequate.
