Kyuuketsuki Night Parade
吸血姫ナイトパレード
[Vampire Night Parade]
吸血姫ナイトパレード
[Vampire Night Parade]
Warnings: One volume has a rape-y scene.
About: Three young men found themselves in a ball with a lot of beautiful people, and noticed a girl within the crowd. What some of them didn't know was that the ball was held by vampires to lure some bachelor candidates with desirable traits to be their mate.
Trivia: The spelling for 'kyuuketsuki' was spelled with the character for 'princess', giving you the hint that the MC will be the vampire in this story.
Ashley (CV: Sugisaki Kazuya)
Ashley, a friendly and cheerful guy, noticed a girl within the party that was just standing by herself and asked her to a dance. When he heard that she is a vampire and explained the reason for the ball, Ashley happily exclaimed that he had always wanted to meet a vampire and offered himself as her mate. He later told her he had always liked things such as monsters and aliens. At first, he seemed to understand that he would no longer be able to escape from the vampire's realm, but at the same time would excitedly said that he couldn't wait to tell his family and friends about his experience there. Thinking that she might be imprisoning him away from his world, MC decided that Ashley needs to leave the vampire realm. He was upset but he understands why MC is conflicted, so he straightforwardly confessed his true feelings for her, his wish to stay with her, and that he wanted to marry her.
Sakyo (CV: Amamiya Takayuki)
A bit of a serious intellectual type, Sakyo was quite concerned as to how and why he was in the ball. After the MC explained, he got a bit panicked but he accepted her asking for his blood anyway. In actuality, Sakyo is quite scared of a lot of things, especially blood - he would faint at the sight of it - but would try not to make it too obvious. Sakyo's head was a bit cloudy when girl approached him while in the shower, and he forced himself on her (I'd call it a rape but alike every other MC in the same situation, she did not resist him at all so... non-consensual at least?). He felt horrible when he came to his senses and saw what he did, and wanted to take responsibility. MC admitted later that she was holding back on asking him for his blood since she knew Sakyo is queasy with blood. They later promised to marry, not solely out of taking responsibility, but rather wanted because they shared the same feelings towards one another.
Lutz (CV: Kurose Taka)
Lutz is the only one who purposely wanted to be chosen by to be a candidate of the ball and to get near with one of the vampires. He locked on to a lone girl within the crowd and began offering himself as a candidate for her mate. He even encouraged her to drink his blood by saying he wanted to feel
the supposed euphoria that comes with the experience. As he stayed with her for a few days in the vampire's place, he always disappeared to somewhere but never told the MC where he had been. One day, MC got into the room he was borrowing and saw a gun in his luggage. Lutz confronted her and told her his truth; he is in fact a vampire hunter and came there for the sole purpose of exterminating every vampires within the vicinity. He told her that his parents was massacred by vampires when he was young and had held on the need to revenge ever since. However Lutz confessed that he would have committed to his intention... if only he had not met her, the MC specifically - a young vampire girl who has never once drank blood in her life because she didn't want to hurt anyone. He finally gave up on his quest for vengeance and wanted to start a new life and make a family with her.
Final say: This was my reason why I got into R18 drama cd fandom in the first place. It was when I realized that I like the vampire themes (after playing Senbura lol) but sadly, this is the one of the only two R18 titles using this theme (that I know of, that is). I'm still pretty confused why it's not more popular. Is it too outdated of a theme? Anyway, this is a fairly good series, but it does feels like it's lacking in the ecchi scenes. All the CVs featured didn't do that many titles under the same aliases so it kinda make me think that they're not used to do R18 or something. But I like the stories, especially Lutz's, though I normally don't go for voices that low. I'd say this is a good start with R18 drama cd if you're new to it. Has a good balance with the story and the ecchi scenes, and there's nothing too heavy to bother your morals.
